In a life that is ever increasingly moving towards beer, I just landed a new job. As some of you know, Nate and I (Mike) plan on opening a brewery someday. We would like that someday to be about 5 years from the present. Both of us are homebrewers. But both of us would like to have some professional/commercial experience before we attempt to launch this thing. It’s always nice to be able to have valuable experience prior to jumping into any business for yourself.

Kona Brewing Company is hunting for a GM for their Hawaii brewpub. They’re looking for a person with at least five years of experience to manage 90 employees while maintaining an “Ohana spirit.”
Minnesota’s largest brewery is looking for an experienced brewer to develop new beverages, adhere to quality control, lead customer tours and represent the brewery at trade shows.
This person would be responsible for the design, operations and maintenance or commissioning of over 200,000 square feet of projects. Hands-on experience should include working with steam management, steam distribution systems, and at least 5 years experience working with absorbers, chillers, boilers, and air ventilation balancing systems.
MillerCoors wants a result-oriented problem solver with at least 10 years of brewing experience to raise awareness about the brewing process. Duties include coordinating retail visits to the brewery, establishing contact with distributors and providing regular feedback.
Union Beer Distributors is looking for somebody to supervise and motivate a team of forklift operators, order pickers and recyclers.
